I took Caroline out for dinner at the hotel restaurant after we arrived and then asked her in the room.

I also asked her at the top of the Rockerfeller Centre, on the Circle Line Cruise around Manhattan, in Central Park and in the hotel roof bar (which has a cracking view of the Empire State Building).

Fortunately she said yes every time.
